Casa Pedro is of a modernist, West Coast Pacific open plan design, furnished in a simple mid century style. It has 1,000sqf of living space – children* are welcome and well behaved pets will be considered. There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin room, sharing two bathrooms. With thick limestone walls, white render and stone floors, the house is cool in the summer months with cross ventilation and warm in the winter. The house is self sufficient and environmentally friendly with its own 300ft deep water borehole and solar generated electricity to generate a very low carbon footprint.
Outside, there is an infinity pool (6 x 3m) and ample space to lounge poolside. The house is surrounded by terracing and has a large shaded area for outdoor eating and entertaining. It is a recently built property and we are slowly landscaping and planting around the house. Set in 10 acres of mature olive and almond groves and vineyards, it's surrounded by unspoilt wild countryside and rural farmland. The roof terrace provides the perfect place to watch the beautiful Sicilian sunsets.
Situated overlooking the Vendicari Nature Reserve and the Golfo di Noto, just a short drive from the coast, the location commands spectacular views from Siracuse to the furthest South Eastern tip of Sicily. The nearest historic town is Noto, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. There's plenty to do if you want to explore the local area and ample sport activities for the more adventurous.
* Very young children will need to be supervised at all times – Calcicera Alta is more child friendly for younger kids to explore with a little more freedom!
Casa Pedro can be rented separately or together with Calcicera Alta for larger bookings (to sleep parties of up to 12 people).

The coast and surrounding beaches are about 5 miles away and can be reached by car in 20 minutes. There is the choice of the many beaches on the nature reserve or the more tourist orientated and private beaches towards San Lorenzo and Lido di Noto. There are some wonderful beaches all around the South East coast for those who are happy to explore further a field. With extraordinary views of the Med to one side, and even more extraordinary views all the way to Mt. Etna on the other – I don’t think it’s possible to choose a better setting in Sicily. The villa itself is exquisite – modern, clean, the latest in everything! Supping a cold one in the infinity pool whilst watching the sun fall below the hills and mountains isn’t a bad way to end the day!
Hidden at the top of a hill just outside Noto it feels like you’re a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the beach/bars/restaurants and local towns – but actually you’re only 15 mins away. The sea is crystal clear turquoise, and warm. The beaches are spotless with miles of sand to wander on – perfect for the kids.

The town of Noto can be easily reached by car. Noto has some great restaurants, bars and shops, including a very well-stocked supermarket.
